Dorothy Margolin Jannsen

100 years old, of Avondale, Arizona passed away on January 4, 2014.  Dorothy was born May 18, 1913 in New York, NY to Lillian and George Margolin.  She traveled to Ireland, England, Scotland, Rome and Italy.  Dorothy worked for Verizon until retirement, taught art at Hofstra College for two years and worked in the Catholic Church.  During the 1970’s her own artwork was in several shows.  Preceded in death by first husband Frank Fitzgerald and second husband Carl Jannsen.  Visitation will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.  Graveside Service will follow at 1pm at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48
