Joanne Markichevich

Joanne Elizabeth Markichevich 95 passed into the heavens on Monday March 24th , 2025. Joanne was born to Ruth and John Harris Patterson on November 6th, 1929, in Phoenix, Arizona. Joanne considered her faith and family to be the greatest gift in her life. She was always up for a family gathering even well into her 90's. Joanne will be remembered for her radiant smile, beautiful voice, feisty spirit and loving heart. Joanne was in the very first graduating class at Xavier High School in 1947. She attended college at U of A and ASU where she met her husband, Mark. Mark and Joanne were married for 54 years and raised five children together. Joanne loved being a homemaker. When her children were grown, she took up many different hobbies. She loved to travel and visited many different countries. She also took up painting and was quite the artist. 

She is predeceased by her loving husband Mark and daughter Susan. Joanne is survived by Larry (Mary), Gary (Debra), Karen (Mike), and Vicki (Stan). Eleven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at 4 pm at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N Central Ave Phoenix Arizona. A reception to follow at Anderson Hall at Xavier High School from 5:00 to 7:30 pm.
