Jolene B. Martinez

Jolene B. Martinez, 82 of Avondale, Arizona, passed away on the morning of March 6, 2025. Jolene was born and raised in St. Johns, Arizona. She was raised on her family’s ranch in St. Johns and has many great memories of times spent with her siblings and cousins.

Jolene moved to Phoenix in 1957 and attended and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She became a Nurse in 1976 and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, for many years.

Jolene is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Fred A. Martinez, Jr., her parents, Gilbert Sr and Elsie Martinez and her Sister Norma Fitzgerald and Brother Gilbert Martinez, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Chimene Wenrick, and Monique Marez, (Eli). Her grandchildren, Ernie (Michelle), Marco, Chris (Nicole) , Kristina (Jack) and Adam (Krista). Her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Marissa, Juliette, Riley, Zoey, Ryan, Sophia, Colt, Adeline and Aribella. Her Brother Ralph Martinez, (Irene), Sister Jeanetta Martinez and Sister Paula Garcia (Mike), Sister-in-law Eileen Martinez.

Services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery, 8502 W. Pinchot Ave, Phoenix, AA. 85037 on Saturday March 15th with 9am- Visitation and 9:30am- Rosary, followed by 10am – Mass. 12noon- Internment- Holy Cross Cemetery 9925 W. Thomas Rd. Avondale, Az. 85392.
