Julie Charles Jauregui

Julie Charles Jauregui of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on Monday, October 7, 2024. Julie was a kind caring person dearly loved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother. She was born in La Mesa, Texas, on September 3, 1945. Julie’s family relocated to Phoenix in 1950. 

Julie is preceded in death by her parents Mr. Jose & Mrs. Marcella Charles (Phoenix). She is survived by her husband Frank, son’s Frankie and John Michael (San Diego), 3 grandchildren: Christina Scherer (Los Angeles), Justin, Jenna Rene (San Diego), siblings: Jenny, Josie, Jessica, Marcella, Joe, Sookie and George. 

Julie attended elementary and high school in Phoenix and Mesa Community College in San Diego, California. She worked for AT&T and Lucent Technologies in Southern California, Nevada, New Jersey and Hawaii as a Senior Quality Controlled Manager. Julie retired from Lucent Technologies after 30 years and relocated to Gilbert, AZ with her husband Frank in 2006. 

Julie and Frank were Los Angeles Lakers and San Diego Charger fans. They loved travelling and enjoyed Salsa, Oldies and R&B music. She was known as “Nana” to her grandkids and “Jules” to her husband, family and friends. 

A Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. with Rosary prayers and Memorial Services beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
