Robert Hughel Larmore, MD, 76, of Anderson IN, Indianapolis, IN, Fort Wayne, IN, and Phoenix, AZ, went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2022, 3 days before his 77th birthday on March 27th. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Hiestand Larmore, MD, and Joseph Loman Larmore, MD, of Anderson, IN, and two brothers Philip Hiestand Larmore, MD, and Richard Wright Larmore, MD. Also, his in-laws Bettyjane and Roger Moynahan of Indianapolis, IN, and his granddaughter Victoria (14) and Skylar (12) Larmore. He is survived by his loving, adoring family, including his wife of 54 years Marcia Moynahan Larmore, his daughter Cynthia Mitchell Larmore and his son Jonathan Moynahan Larmore his wife Michelle Anne Larmore. Also, living grandchildren, Jonathan Robert Larmore and Bridget Elizabeth Larmore and his brother Stephen Lowman Larmore, MD (daughters Susan and Elizabeth). Also surviving are his brother Roger T Moynahan, JR, (Martha), Bob’s niece Emily Moynahan (David, Brady, and Justin), Anne Larmore Andis (James) and other nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from Madison Heights High School in Anderson, IN, and then from Indiana University, Bloomington, where he lived in the SAE house and was a pre-med and history major. Three years later he entered IU Medical School in Indianapolis. After graduation he served as intern at Oakland California General Hospital, followed by serving as General Medical Officer and Captain in the United States Air Force, stationed at the Hamilton Air Force Base in Marin County California. Bob then completed a three year Ophthalmology residency program in Ophthalmology Indiana University. He also served as an emergency room physician at Wishard Memorial Hospital and St. John’s Hospital in Anderson. His family moved to Fort Wayne and he entered private practice in general and surgical ophthalmology at Lutheran Hospital. He was a board member of: Fort Wayne League of the Blind, Indiana Medical Society, Fort Wayne Medical Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Business Forum. Bob worshipped at The Chapel church, Fort Wayne, and Scottsdale Bible Church.
He was loved by his family, friends, and medical patients. He loved spending time in Phoenix and summers at Lake Wawasee.
