Lauren Danielle Guzman, born on March 27, 1993, in Chandler, AZ, passed away after a courageous battle with ALSP on February 6, 2025. Lauren was the beloved daughter of Veronica and Larry Guzman, who preceded her in death, and is survived by her loving mother Veronica Guzman, sister Brittany Guzman Alcantar, her nieces Luna and Ximena, and her brother-in-law Daniel Alcantar.

From a young age, Lauren was known for her vibrant and social spirit. She was a gifted student who excelled academically and engaged in several extracurricular activities throughout her life. She attended St. Mary's High school where she discovered her passion for the arts and participated in several plays. She enjoyed sparking joy as a Cheerleader which later led to working as a rally back for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

As an Arizona native, she was honored to attend Arizona State University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Lauren made a lasting impact as a founding member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. One of her life changing experiences of her college years was studying abroad in London and creating memories she cherished dearly. Her adventures abroad later transformed into her becoming a flight attendant for American Airlines. For nearly a decade, Lauren traveled the world, creating countless friendships and leaving an imprint on everyone she met.

In 2023, Lauren was diagnosed with ALSP. Despite the challenges this disease presented, she remained strong and unwavering in her determination to live life to the fullest. The love and admiration from her caregivers, nurses, and all those who were fortunate enough to be in her life was a testament to the strength of her spirit.

Throughout her journey, Lauren remained deeply faithful, never losing her belief in God. Her resilience, bravery, and ability to love unconditionally were evident in everything she did, especially during the hardest moments of her life.

Lauren’s legacy is one of joy, adventure, compassion, and unwavering love.

Lauren is resilient. Lauren is brave. Lauren is love.
