Russell Earl Lauten

Lauten, Russell Earl, 97, of Scottsdale, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2016.  Russ is survived by his wife Dorothy, of 70 years, their children; Greg (Jennifer) Lauten, Debbie (John) Hay and Nancy (Joe) Barto, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his son Kent.  Russ was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, his patriotic and conservative ideals and he enjoyed sports, acting and creating beautiful works of art.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Christ Church Lutheran, 3901 E. Indian School Rd., in Phoenix.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.  Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
