Pantelis Leventis

March 23, 1965 ~ January 6, 2020

May God grant eternal rest to the soul of His servant, Pantelis Leventis, 54, of Phoenix, Arizona, who fell asleep in the Lord on January 6, 2020. Pantelis is survived by his former wife of 22 years, Mary, along with their children, Alexandra, 21, Panagiotis, 19 and Katerina, 16, as well as his sister Vasiliki in Athens, Greece.

Pantelis was born in Athens, Greece on March 23, 1965 to Panagiotis Levendis and Stamatia Tsakiri. In 2012, Pantelis and Mary moved their family to the United States in hopes of a better life for their children due to economic and political unrest in Greece at the time. Their children are excelling at school with Alexandra completing her third year of education at Arizona State University studying to be a doctor; Panagiotis in his last semester at Mesa Community College soon to join Alexandra at ASU; and Katerina in her Junior year at Chaparral High School.

Pantelis will be remembered by his children for his unwavering devotion and unconditional love. His strong Greek Orthodox faith guided all decisions in his life and provided a solid base for his family. He was loved by all who met him for his positive and friendly disposition. He was always willing to lend a hand to help someone in need. He worked at IPSA Security Services for several years receiving employee of the month awards on several occasions in testament to his dedication.

Please join Pantelis’s family in celebration of his life on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

A viewing will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1973 E Maryland Ave., Phoenix, at 9am on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 directly followed by the funeral service. An interment will take place immediately after at St. Anthony’s Greek Orthodox Monastery, 4784 N St. Joseph’s Way, Florence, AZ 85132.
