Linda Myers

Linda Myers, 72 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on January 26, 2024 with her loving family by her side.

Linda was born on August 13, 1951 in Phoenix, AZ to Raul and Enedina Mata. She graduated from Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, CA in 1969. While in high school, Linda met her love and future husband, Allan; the two were married in November of 1970. She became a military spouse and moved around the United States to wherever Allan was stationed. They eventually moved to Phoenix to be close to Linda’s family, where they raised their two children, Michele and Allan Jr. Linda held various jobs as a young military wife, but once settled in Phoenix, she had a career as a letter carrier with the US Postal Service and became the owner of a children’s clothing boutique. She also spent many years volunteering as a catechism teacher and at the Marion Shop at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Linda was a devoted grandmother. She never missed an opportunity to spend time and make memories with her grandchildren. She was front and center at every activity, enthusiastically cheering them on. Being in the company of family, especially her grandchildren was truly where she was most happy.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother Enedina Florez. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Allan; her children, Michele and Allan Jr. (Rebecca); grandchildren, Samuel, Jacqueline, Emma and Claire; siblings David (Nancy), MaryAnn (Bruce) and Susie.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 4th from 2-5 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 5th at 10 A.M. at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85012.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
