Arturo Eduardo Lopez, 96, of Phoenix, went home to be with Jesus on January 11, 2021.
Art loved his family and friends and was a man of much faith. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon, with whom he shared a beautiful life and an inspirational love. From Ensenada to San Diego to the Inland Empire and then to Phoenix – wherever he was home he had a garden and projects that kept him busy. Through his many careers and jobs he made numerous friends and was a shining light for many.
Art was a loving father to his 5 daughters, and an adoring Papa to his 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Louise (Manuel). Native Arizonan. Proud UA Alumni. US Navy WWII Veteran. He will be forever remembered as a gentleman, as a friend, and as a man who loved and gave of himself freely. His faith in Jesus was his rock.
