Veronica Lukacs

Phoenix – Veronica Lukacs, 70, passed unexpectedly July 14, 2020 at her home. She was born May 18, 1950 in Budapest Hungary, the daughter of Remus & Anna Lukacs.

Veronica and her family fled Hungary in 1957 to escape communism. They resided in Connecticut, Illinois, and Arizona. Veronica also lived in Hawaii a few years, she enjoyed the weather, beaches and everything Hawaii had to offer. Most of her life was spent in Phoenix, AZ. Veronica graduated from Senn High School in Chicago, IL, in the late 1960’s. Following graduation Veronica worked in the insurance field in Chicago, IL; Dial Corporation in Phoenix, AZ and retired as a Security Guard from the Biltmore Estates also located in Phoenix, AZ

Preceded in death are both parents, Remus, and Anna. Survived by her sister, Maria of Phoenix; Cousins in Hungary, Marika Polyák of Halásztelek and her two children, Christian and Lence; Marika of Tótszerdahely and her two children, Atilla and Tomi; and close family friend Helen Jenkins and her family of Phoenix.

Veronica was a very loving sister and friend. She was extremely kindhearted, caring and a positive person. She enjoyed drawing, playing sudoku, singing, dancing, her fur babies (pets), yard work and sharing her wealth of knowledge with an emphasis on health and positivity. Her favorite statements to her sister and friends “tell yourself you are healing and think positive.” She was always willing to help anyone. She loved animals and knew they were smart and added much happiness to our lives. Veronica and Maria believed that it was a sign from their Daddy when their two dogs came into their lives: Daddy’s way of watching over his two girls. Veronica also loved Elvis and visited Graceland, however on her visit she did not meet Elvis, something she had always hoped to do. Veronica was short in stature but had a gigantic heart and love for everyone in her life. She was extremely sweet and helpful to everyone she knew. She was always there to help anyone, and she genuinely enjoyed everything she did.

Veronica is greatly missed, loved, cherished and will be in our hearts and thoughts for eternity.
