Charles Lt. Col. Luther

82 went peacefully to meet his maker March 22.  He was born in Indianola, NE April 2, 1930 one of 11 children of Les and Anna.   He spent 22 years in the Air Force with tours in Germany and Viet Nam.  He got paid to fly airplanes which he loved.  He retired to Phoenix where he established 3 trampoline jump centers.  He played golf, cards and was the former membership chairman at the American Legion Post 44.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathleen, children, Dwayne (predeceased), Charleen (John) Aldaya, Lori Johnson, Julie (Jamie) Tullbane and 6 grandchildren.  Surviving siblings are Ray (Nebraska), Virginia Needham (Phoenix), Jean Cummings (Colorado) and Bob (California). Funeral Mass will be at 10am, Wednesday, April 3 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road.  Interment will follow at 12:30pm, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 4550 E. Bell Road, Phoenix, 85032 or Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, 901 E.
