Eloise H. Macbeth was born on October 24, 1917 to Martha and John Hamilton in Mount Vernon, New York. She, and her husband Reade Macbeth, came to Arizona in 1947 because of her health. Eloise Macbeth worked for the federal government for 32 years and was a Personnel Management Specialist at the VA Hospital in Phoenix at the time of her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees and a past member of the Phoenix Ballroom Dancers Club. Eloise Macbeth and her husband Reade made their church home at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral where she served on the Alter Guild for twenty-five years. Macbeth also served on the flower committee for a short time. In addition, she was engaged in various types of needlework and provided the needlepoint work for one of the alter kneelers (which was destroyed in a church fire). Eloise Macbeth and her husband Reade both enjoyed outdoor activities, making many friends during their lifetimes and will be missed. Eloise Macbeth passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the age of 94. She is survived by her sister Mildred Jennings of Mount Vernon, New York and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service in honor of Eloise Macbeth will take place at 10am on Thursday, March 1st at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 100 W. Roosevelt Street in Phoenix. Eloise Macbeth asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Phoenix.
