Stephen C. Maggio

Stephen C. Maggio, born February 4, 1930 in Buffalo, New York. He is survived by loving wife of 65 years, Gloria, son Stephen A. Maggio (Kimberly), daughters Joan Lessner and Nancy Burns, grandchildren Nicholas Lessner (Andrea), Christine Hemmingsen (Kurt), and Matthew Maggio, great- grandsons James and Logan Hemmingsen, sisters Rose Casillo, Theresa Shea, Nina Burcato, Mary Lou Neal (Tom) of Buffalo, New York, and loved by many nieces and nephews in Phoenix, Arizona and Buffalo, New York. He was preceded in death by sister Florence Minahan, and brothers Christopher, Francis and Joseph. He was a member of Sperry Federal Credit Union for 34 years and a member of Marcos de Niza Knights of Columbus. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2nd from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary prayer at 7:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 3rd at 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Avenue in Phoenix with Burial following the mass at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations be made to either Catholic Charities, 4747 N. 7th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85013 and/or the Make-A-Wish AZ 2901 N. 78th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.
