Marcia Ann Sisemore

Marcia Ann Sisemore age 78, passed away February 8, 2025 with her family at her side.

Born in Phoenix, AZ, to Angie & Frank Franquero on November 16, 1946, Marcia was a lifelong Arizona resident. She attended St. Mary’s High School, received her bachelors and master’s degrees from Northern Arizona University where she subsequently completed two years toward her doctorate.

Proud to be of Basque heritage she studied Flamenco dancing, loved road trips, gambling, country music and spending time at her cabin in Flagstaff.

As a lifelong educator Marcia will be remembered by her coworkers and the many students whose lives she touched during her career as a teacher, dean of students and vice principal in the Glendale High School District.

Marcia leaves behind a legend of love and kindness. She was a pillar of strength and a beacon of hope to all who knew her. She had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

She is survived by her sister Diane Franquero and extended family and close friends.
