Margaret L. Valenzuela

Margaret L. Valenzuela, 87, passed away in presence of loved ones on Tuesday, February 06, 2024. Margaret was born on May 30, 1936 in Glendale, Arizona to her parents Bruno and Teresa Lopez. She is a lifelong resident of Arizona, raised her family in Phoenix, and spent most of her working life as an accountant at a wholesale florist. During this time, she went on to marry Herman A. Valenzuela, who preceded her in death, but now greets her with open arms in Heaven.

In Margaret’s spare time she loved planning and hosting family events, especially when it involved home cooking, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all the immediate family. Her favorite family vacations included camping, fishing, and enjoying northern Arizona with all the family. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren immensely and enjoyed any time she could spend with them. Margaret equally enjoyed any time she could spend with her sisters, brother, nieces, & nephews. For Margaret, family always came first, which brought her great joy.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Herman A. Valenzuela, and is survived by her daughter Anita and sons Herman (Anna), Frank, and Paul. Margaret is also preceded in death by three sisters (Juanita, Lydia, & Rosita) and is survived by her sister Estela Aldama and brother Jorge Lopez.  She has 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Margaret was loved by all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. (Noon) -1:00 P.M., on Thursday, February 15, 2024, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M., all held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral  Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., in Phoenix. Then burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Phoenix.
