Marianna Mendívil (Holley) passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 2, 2024. Our beloved mom, grandma, and great grandma was born on September 13, 1937, in East St. Louis, IL. She was the only child of Lillie Myrtle Holley (McDonald) and Roy Holley. She moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1970 with her two daughters and pursued a career in the banking industry.
Marianna enjoyed spending time with her family, which was vast. She welcomed any and everyone as surrogate siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her love was spread equally amongst anyone that came into her life. Her personality was so genuine that many viewed her as part of their own family.
Along with her family, Marianna cared deeply for her church. She was known to always support her church family in any way possible. Her care for others even extended to animals as she was known to donate to various animal shelters and organizations throughout her life.
Marianna is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Myrtle Holley. She is survived by her two daughters, Monica Woodford (Jim) and Cindy Lang (Paul); grandchildren James Woodford, Ashley Landa (Alex), Anna Woodford (Jeff), Nathan Lang, and Sara Lang; great grandchildren Owen Gothier, Ruby Gothier, Mason Woodford, Kayla Woodford, Jobe Landa, Jade Sosa; and Payton Landa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives in addition to friends that were just as close as family.
