On Saturday January 27, 2024, our loving mother, Nana, Nani, friend, and family member was called up to heaven. Margie F. Ramos Navarro lived a beautiful life for 97 years. She was surrounded by family when she passed and is now watching over us as an angel from above.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin and Anita Ferra and her two spouses Sostenes Ramos (1989) and Manuel Navarro (2021). She is survived by her daughter Theresa (Terry) Ramos (Pat Tobler), her son Joseph Ramos (Joan), her grandchildren Sergio Ramos (Shannon), Natalie Gruner (Ben), and her great-grandchildren Joie and Keaton Ramos, Lincoln Gruner, along with her California children Carrie Ramirez (Steve), Helen Ihde (Michael), Robert Navarro (Belinda), Joe Navarro (Dana), Alex Navarro (Laura) and their families.
Margie was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona by her loving parents and attended Lincoln and Lowell Elementary Schools and Phoenix Union High School. She was an Administrative Secretary for the City of Phoenix prior to her taking a job with Maricopa County as the Public Works Administrative Services Coordinator. Margie worked at Maricopa County for 29 years until her retirement at age 69. She was an original member of the Vesta Club and a long-standing member of the Las Damas Del Valle.
Margie enjoyed traveling, dancing, shopping, going to the movies, restaurants, was an avid reader and liked a good margarita and fine wine. Margie especially loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends. Family was always the most important part of her life.
To celebrate Margie’s life, a funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 East Thomas Road, Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Frances Catholic Cemetery in the Mausoleum, 2033 North 48th Street in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
