Rosalie Angulo Martinez, beloved mother, grandmother “nana”, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, passed away on June 28, 2022 at the age of 87. Rosalie was the eldest child born to Peter and Mary Salcido. She was raised in Phoenix, where she graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School. After graduation, Rosalie married her high school sweetheart David Angulo. She became a homemaker, and lovingly raised her three children. After losing her husband at the age of 56, Rosalie was fortunate to find love a second time around, and married John Martinez in October of 1997.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, her second husband John, and her daughter Debbie. She is survived by her two sons, David Angulo (Erminia), and Duane Angulo (Julie), her six grandchildren, Adam Guerra, Mia Bianco (Chris), Amanda Beck (Brandon), Gabriella Hawkins (Ryan), Nicholas Angulo, and Leah Angulo, her four great-grandchildren, Nina, Leo, and Eva Bianco, and June Hawkins, and her three siblings, Peter Salcido (Ersie, deceased), Alfred Salcido (Sandra), and Cecilia Greco (Jim). Many nieces, nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren as well.
A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Resurrection Church, 3201 S. Evergreen Road in Tempe. The Burial will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Road in Mesa (casual dress for burial services is encouraged and preferred).
