Mary Lulu Hatch, born on April 27, 1929, in Minneapolis, MN, left this world and went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2024, in Scottsdale, AZ. She was the cherished daughter of Theodore and Lulu Ganschow.
Mary dedicated her life to the pursuit of knowledge, earning a Master's Degree in Child Psychology. In June 1952, she united in marriage with the love of her life, Francis E. Hatch Jr. They built a life together and shared countless precious moments.
For many years, Mary and Francis resided in Denver, CO, where they ran a successful drug store. Mary's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication contributed to the prosperity of their business, and she was a respected member of the community. They retired and moved to Scottsdale in 1999.
Mary had a passion for the arts, particularly southwestern and Native American creations. Her home was adorned with a breathtaking collection, showcasing her appreciation for the beauty and richness of these cultures. She also had an eye for fashion, expressing herself through a timeless and elegant style that left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Mary and Fran enjoyed traveling, exploring different corners of the globe.
She is preceded in death by her husband Francis who passed away on July 28, 2018. Mary leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by nieces and nephews and her devoted caregiver of nearly six years, Wilma Dougherty, who adored her, a testament to the impact Mary had on those around her.
Mary's faith was the cornerstone of her life, and her love for the Lord Jesus Christ was unwavering. She found solace and strength in her faith, guiding her through life's joys and challenges. Mary's devotion extended to her husband, Francis, with whom she shared a bond that transcends time.
As we mourn the loss of Mary Lulu Hatch, we also celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and a profound appreciation and love for God and the beauty of the world around her.
