Mary Jo Sellers

Mary Jo Sellers (Carr) passed away October 29, 2024. She was born August 16, 1939 in Phoenix, Arizona to Rose and Dave Carr. She is predeceased by her sister Peggy O'Neill. She is survived by her brother David (Helen) Carr, sister Colleen (Richard) Frankenfield, daughter Mary Beth Gervasio, grandson Jacob Sweat, great grandson Hudson Sweat, daughter Terri (Greg) Schouten, granddaughter Chiara Schouten and grandson Theo Schouten. 

She attended St. Agnes Catholic School and St. Mary's High School. She married Lamar Sellers in 1967, living a happy marriage until his death in 1998.She enjoyed adventures with her mother and her beloved Aunt Viola, family sing-a-longs and fishing. She loved her Catholic faith and music, often combining the two by singing in her church choir. She is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Memorial service will be November 21, 2024 at Whitney Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, Arizona 85018. Gathering at 10:00am, Rosary at 10:30 with mass immediately following. A reception will be held after mass at Terri's house, 524 W. Georgia Avenue, Phoenix.
