Mary Jo Toth

Mary Jo Toth, 75 was born July 17, 1949 was the oldest of two children born to Nick and Josephine Mastrog in Erie, PA. The family moved to Arizona in 1952 after the birth of her younger sister, Nancy.

Mary Jo met her husband of 47 years, Steve, at Phoenix College after spending a year of college at sea. They met in February of 1969 and were married October 4, 1969.

Her oldest daughter Stephanie was born in 1970 and her youngest daughter Shelley was born in 1972.

Mary Jo enjoyed a long career as a paralegal and felt lucky to work with friends. Mary Jo loved traveling, the beach and all things creative.

Mary Jo passed away at home September 7, 2024.

Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents, sister, and her husband.

She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Dick 52, Stephanie’s husband Robert 57, her children Jeremy Lachance 27 (Jeremy’s wife Alexandra 28 and their son Leon 3 months) and Mason Lachance 23. Daughter Shelley D’Angelo 52, Shelley’s husband Danny 53, and their daughters Danyela 21, Delylah 18, and Doryann 15.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85018. Burial to follow at Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery 1:30 p.m. 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix,
