Mrs. Marilyn Baggs, age 90, passed away on July 20th, 2024 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born on September 24, 1933 in San Francisco, California. And at age 20 she married Lavern E. Baggs and their marriage lasted for 57 years before his passing in 2010. She is survived by her two children, Brad Baggs and Lurenda (Baggs) Armanini, son-in-law, Tony Armanini and girlfriend-in-law Natalie Smith; her three grandsons and future granddaughter-in-law, Nicholas Aramnini, Brittany Hudson, Stanley Baggs and Brad Baggs Jr.
Now that the family tree has been explained, here is a little about Marilyn. She could put the fear of God into any child but at the same time she would defend that child without hesitation. Friends of my son, Nicholas have stories they could tell, right Michael, Pete and Parker? She always had high expectations and no one wanted to let her down.
Adults were at her mercy as well. She said what she meant and meant what she said. You never had to worry where you stood with Marilyn because she would let you know. She commanded the room and yet made you feel like a family member after just one meeting. The number of individuals who call Marilyn, Mom has yet to be determined because every time I speak to someone I hear, “She was like a second Mom to me.” Who knew she was so lovable, I can say that as I am her daughter and daughters always have a different perspective of their mother. Breathe, I love my Mother very much.
She was always well dressed from head to toe, literally. She was known for her shoes at her place of employment. The men, not the women but the men were the ones who would wait to see what she was wearing to work. Her shoe, jewelry and clothing collection could rival that of Sir Elton John. She would dress to the nines while spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed. Cheers Ma!
Please wear something festive, no black as Mother would be annoyed.
