Josephine (Jo) Ellen Mcconville

passed away on July 16, 2017 at the age of 94. Josephine Kauzlarich was born in Centerville, Iowa. Jo was known for her sweet demeanor, warm heart and unwavering faith. In 1946, Jo married returning WWII soldier Ed McConville. Together they moved their family from Iowa to Phoenix, Arizona in 1956. Jo worked as a secretary while raising her family. She shared a full life with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many family friends. Jo is preceded in death by her husband Ed and survived by her three children: Jan Houser, Mike McConville (Lois) and Mary Evans (Mike); four grandchildren: Michelle Houser, Mark Williams (Meg), Katy McCrum (Eric) and Maggie McConville and four great grandchildren: Dylan Hollins, Emily Hollins, Josie Williams and Teddy Williams. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00AM Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the St. Ignatius Chapel at St. Francis Xavier Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012. Burial will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
