Edward A. Mendoza

75, passed away on August 18, 2012. A native of Arizona, Ed was born on October 27, 1936. After retiring from UA Local 469 with over 50 years of service he became an avid fan of NASCAR and very talented in woodworking. He is survived by his loving wife Alice of 23 years, and his children Tim and Lauren Mendoza, Monte Mendoza, step children; Susan Brenton, Mike and Tami Butcher, Douglas and Gaye Butcher, Thomas and Debbie Butcher and Tricia and Matt Lehti. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, August 24th, 2012 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Visitation will begin at 9:00am with a Funeral Service at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
