Josephine Miceli

Josephine Miceli, 88, passed away on Monday May 14, 2018. Josephine was born on March 15, 1930 in Detroit, MI to Mario and Nettie (Giurlanda) Scuderi. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph and her sister Antoinette Bulgarella. Josephine is survived by her children; Katherine (Ron) Senior, Albert (Donna) Miceli and Annette (Mike) McDonough; five grandchildren, Lauren Senior, Deanna McDonough, Brandon Senior, Stephen McDonough, and Michael McDonough. Josephine loved and lived for her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved to cook, especially her family’s traditional Italian favorites and taught that love of culture and food to her children and grandchildren. She made all feel welcome in her home. She enjoyed making crafts and giving these treasures to her family. Josephine was very devoted to her faith and prayed the Holy Rosary every day. Josephine will be forever loved and missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Phoenix. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave., Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would suggest contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
