Michael Alan Wilson

Michael Alan Wilson age 77 passed away unexpectedly in his home in Scottsdale, AZ on September 25, 2024. Son of Alan and Hazel Wilson, father to Shawn Elden Wilson, and uncle to Anthony Wilson. Michael is survived by his daughter Cara Ann Bedford, his granddaughter Anastasia Silvana Shawn Bedford, his brother Mark Wilson, his brother's wife Brenda Wilson, and his niece Amanda Wilson.

Michael was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. He served in the armed forces, serving 2 years active in the Navy and 4 years in the reserves. Michael proudly attended Baylor University for his undergraduate degree, later obtaining his Master's degree from Chapman University and a second Master's degree from Missouri State University. He first became a CEO at age 31, which was an achievement that very little attain at such a young age. He served as the President and CEO of several organizations including Dean Health Systems, CHW Medical Foundation, and he retired as the CEO of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. He found his calling helping others around him. His success relied on the success and happiness of others.

Michael was a selfless and a kind man that poured his heart into his children, his work, and his friendships. Everyone that crossed paths with Michael would describe him as a pleasant, softhearted, and generous man who left an impression on everyone he met. He was a devoted Christian who actively participated in activities with the church, and he generously contributed to charities such as The Phoenix Rescue Mission and St Jude’s.

He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, the Foundation, the Royal Court, and all those who were blessed to meet him.
