John Christian “Chris” Miller

John Christian “Chris” Miller of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully Friday March 24, 2023, surrounded by his family. We know that Chris is laughing, dancing and shopping blissfully through the clouds of heaven.

He was a kind, thoughtful man who will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by the many people whose lives he touched. He was the definition of a true gentleman with a nurturing, generous nature. Those traits, among others, contributed to his being an exemplary husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was an excellent cook who loved to entertain with his beloved wife Monica and join her in pursuing their hobbies of hiking and traveling. Chris co-hosted a popular radio talk show for twenty years in which he addressed current events affecting the financial world and answered questions from audience members seeking a better understanding of personal investing.

Chris served on the board for the non-profit UMOM whose mission is to support the homeless and provide essential services to those in need. Drawing from his experience in the restaurant industry he hosted fund raising dinners for the organization.

Chris was born in New York State and was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Monica Miller, stepson Michael, grandchildren Anjalyna, Hannah, Michael, and Liam. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carmen and Billy Greenlee and his cousin Mark (Liz).

The location for the celebration of his life is yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, an organization that was caring and thoughtfully assisted him in his journey to the bounds of heaven.
