Markesia “Teala” Miller

Ms. Markesia Miller was born April 13, 1974 in Vallejo California to the late Brenda Scott and John Findley. Teala’s educational journey began in elementary school in Phoenix, Arizona, then on to high school at Freemont High in Los Angeles, California. She continued her education and graduated from Arizona Job Corp on July 12, 1993. Teala then continued her career in cosmetology school at the University College of Beauty in 1998 in Los Angeles, California. At the time of her passing Teala was employed through Accolade in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Teala is preceded in death by her mother Brenda Scott and brother Gerry Lamar Goliday. Markesia leaves to cherish her memory, her father Mr. Frank Karl Miller, daughter Brenee Ortiz, one grandson Jayden Michael Hines, siblings Dana, Erik, and Lessett Pate, Michelle and Monica Miller, Daenicesha Heckard, Cynthia and Tracy Hargraves, Sari, Latanya, India Day, Charmaine, Raheim Findley. Lastly but not least, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends, as well as two incredibly special BFF’s, one from Los Angeles California; Katarina Mayberry, the other from Philadelphia PA; Anna Stanchak.

The family wishes to thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, cards, flowers, and acts of kindness. May God bless you know and always.

A visitation will be held for Markesia on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 12 to 2 P.M. for the family only and 2 until 4 P.M. for all other guests, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road Phoenix, Arizona 85018.
