Helen Uhron Minaya, 91, passed away November 24th, 2012 surrounded by her loved ones. One of four daughters and eight sons born to George and Mary Uhron, she was born April 2, 1921 in Chambersville, PA. She graduated from Indiana High School in Indiana, PA in 1939 and went off to make her fortune in New York City. Her fortune turned out to be in New Jersey with her husband of 49 years Nicholas J. Minaya who encouraged and inspired her love of adventure. She spent many years as an Executive Secretary with I.T.T. before retiring to Phoenix in 1976 and worked with Nick to build a successful real estate appraisal company. But their passion was family and traveling the world. Although she had no children of her own, she was a beloved aunt to a large collection of nieces and nephews who were always enthralled by her stories and photos of a lifetime of world trips and adventures with Uncle Nick. Her hearty laugh and generosity will be sorely missed by us all. Much love and thanks to Sharon and the spectacular staff at Elegant Care, Tempe, AZ. Memorial Services will be held in Indiana, PA. Many thanks to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home in Phoenix, AZ.
