Charles Donald Mitchell

Charles Donald Mitchell, 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. He was born August 13, 1926 in Burlington, Iowa to parents James and Doris Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Broderick Mitchell of 63 years. He is survived by his sisters, Anna and Elise and brothers Buss, Ken, Bill and James; son Donald (Elena) and daughter Juliana (Rick) Asmus; two grandchildren Emily (Brian) Mericle and Richard (Danielle) Asmus; three great-grandchildren and niece B.J. D’Angelo. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Navy (1943-1946) and Army/Airforce (1947-1951). Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road, Phoenix with a Visitation an hour prior to funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
