Molly Domini-Cash, 47, born on April 29, 1976 in Phoenix, AZ, was a lifelong and proud native of the Valley until her tragic passing on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023. Her mother, Cynthia (“Cindy”) Domini was sadly taken from this world at the same time (please see separate obituary for Cindy). Molly will forever be known and admired as a loving and devoted mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and loyal friend.
Molly was the youngest of five children born to Cindy and Renny Domini. She was a lively and spirited addition to older sister Lisa and brothers Keith, Craig, and Matt. Family was everything to Molly from the very beginning and her loyalty, support and love was evident every day of her life. She attended SS. Simon and Jude Cathedral School from Kindergarten thru 8th grade. During these earlier years, Molly was active in softball, swim team and dance. She attended Xavier College Preparatory for high school where she met and connected with the incredibly close group of girls that would become her lifelong friends, supporting each other as women, mothers, and extended family. She continued her education at Arizona State University with her eyes focused on teaching, following in the path of her mother and her sister.
What God had planned for Molly at an early age was to become the incredible and devoted mother to her son Winfield. She absolutely adored every minute of every day as his mother, and considered this role her greatest accomplishment in life. What a devotion it was. She combined her commitment to motherhood with her love for education, teaching at Winfield’s preschool Crossroads, then the preschool at Madison Simis while he attended there for elementary school. Molly was the ultimate team mom, dedicating multiple years to the role when Winfield played Pop Warner Football. They could count on her to bring snacks and food to every game and practice. As Winfield moved on to Sunnyslope High School and played for their football team, Molly was actively involved in the parent committee, making meals for team banquets, pre-game and post-practice dinners, and for church services together as a team with Fr. Eric Tellez at a nearby church. She never missed a single event, sometimes the only parent in attendance. She would do anything and everything to be involved in Winfield’s life and share in his achievements. She brought her talents to his school projects, and was sure to make every birthday for him special, memorable, and planned out to the last detail. She made the time and she provided the support, always.
Molly was a lifelong fan of all sports. She was especially passionate about her Cardinals, Suns and Diamondbacks no matter how they were doing. She frequently attended games and had a closetful of jerseys, hoodies, hats, and sneakers that put even the most avid collector to shame. Molly devoted that same passion to her faith and to her conservative beliefs. Respectful of others’ views, but vocal and opiniated if one opted to challenge. She was funny, really funny. She had exuberant spirit, incredible energy and strength, and unwavering love and commitment to her family and friends. For the past decade, Molly focused much of her time on a new career path in residential real estate. As part of the Phil Tibi team brokering with North&Co, Phil remembers her strong work ethic, compassion, and loyalty. In recent years, when her mother Cindy began to suffer the effects of Alzheimer’s, Molly became her primary caregiver, providing her with a life that was not only dignified, but one full of selfless love, happiness, support, and a full social calendar. The mother-daughter power team kiddingly referred to themselves as Thelma and Louise since spending most of their time together. Frequent outings to McKenzie’s Midtown Tavern to watch Suns and Cardinals games became a fun and memorable tradition for Molly, Cindy, Winfield, his girlfriend Madison, and friends that would join. If working full time and caring for her mother wasn’t enough, when her sister Lisa was diagnosed with cancer in late 2022, Molly was by her side every day and every step of the way until her passing in March 2023.
Both Molly and her mother Cindy’s lives were tragically taken at the same time on Christmas, entering into eternal rest with God together. Molly is survived by her son Winfield Cash V (girlfriend Madison Hodges); brothers Keith (Tara Burke), Craig (Alden) and Matt (Jennifer) Domini; father of her son, Winfield Cash IV, aunts Angie Domini, Nancy Smith and Edda Haselius; uncles Terence (“Terry”) Smith, Ken Ludeke and Ed Haselius; cousins Julie (Chuck) Rehling, Eric (Karen) North, Ryan (Kate) and Greg Smith, Kenneth and Liz Ludeke, and Scott Haselius; nieces Ally Lancaster, Gabriella and Mia Domini; nephews Andrew and Nick Lancaster, Porter and Hudson Domini; her fur babies Rylee and Reagan; and many, many close friends. She is now reunited in Heaven with parents Cindy and Renny Domini; sister Lisa Domini; aunts Kay North and Franca Ludeke; uncles Primo Domini and Mitchell North; cousins Mike North, Christine and Karen Ludeke; grandparents Albert and Alice Smith, Celestino, Adele and Maria Domini.
