84, of Paradise Valley, passed away on August 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife Zenaida of 56 years, three daughters, two sons and 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00am, Friday, September 12, 2014 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am the same day at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Avenue, Phoenix. Burial will take place at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Phoenix.
Dr. Mortel dedicated his life to helping others and his family wishes that any memorial donations be made to the
