Evelyn Ann Nappa

Evelyn “Babe” Nappa passed peacefully on April 18, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends at daughter Roslyn Duffy’s home in Seattle, WA. She was born Evelyn Cortese in June 1919 in Ashtabula, Ohio,youngest of four daughters, to James & Rose Cortese. She married the love of her life, Emanuelle G upon his return from the war in Europe in 1946. They moved to Arizona in 1950 and raised their family, daughter Roslyn Duffy (Vincent) sons Joseph A. and Emanuelle J. (Natalie). Evelyn was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Her hallmark kind heart and wry wit endeared her to all who knew her. She is preceded in heaven by husband Emanuelle, parents, and sisters Marie, Mildred and Florence. A farewell Mass will be held at St. Daniel Catholic Church in Scottsdale, Arizona on Tuesday, April 24th at 10am.
