Martha Gomez Navarro

Martha Gomez Navarro beloved Wife, Mother, Nana and Friend has unexpectedly left this life to join her Heavenly family. She was 89 years young. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and devoted to her husband Edmund Navarro married for 68 years this past September. She was born in Tucson, AZ (5th generation Arizonan) one of 11 children born to Rafael and Dolores Rodriquez Gomez. Her 3 children Edmund R. (Eddie), daughters: Tita (CarlRay) Triphahn and Edie Navarro will miss her dearly. Her 6 grandchildren: Shannon (Joel) Selvey, Brandon Vinal, Carl T. Triphahn, Mark Triphahn, Erik Vinal and Kylie (Alex) Neideffer mourn the loss of their loving Nana. Martha and Edmund had many travels to near and far away places always enjoying review of those trips with many photos. Martha was a graduate of PUHS class of 1946 and a Beauty Queen in her youth. She worked briefly 3 years with Arizona Department of Economic Security as an Executive Secretary until her maternity health caused her to stay home to be a devoted mother to her children. Martha and Edmund enjoyed dining & dancing meeting up with family or Friends throughout their marriage. We will celebrate her life with a Visitation at 9:00 A.M., Rosary prayer at 9:30 A.M. and Funeral Service at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 all at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix. Reception at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home after the Graveside Service.
