Elsie Nelson

Elsie Nelson was born in Winslow, AZ. She is from Sanders, AZ and lived in Phoenix, AZ. Elsie was born on October 26, 1954, and passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of July 2, 2023. She will always be remembered by her smile, strength and her love and caring heart. She was a fierce lover and protector of her children and grandchildren. Elsie went to BYU in Provo, Utah where she studied the medical field. She was also part of the LDS community. She retired from DMG where she worked doing medical billing and coding.

Elsie is survived by her daughter; Lisa Nelson, sons; Jason Nelson and Michael Frank, her foster brother and sister; her older brother and sister, a younger sister; and her 2 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father; Joe Nelson, mother; Stella Nelson, brother; Mervin Nelson, and her foster parents.

Family and friends are welcome to join Elsie’s service on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018 from 1-3pm.
