Manuel Noriega, also known as Manny, age 77, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on August 10, 2023, at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix.
Manuel was born October 21, 1945, in Phoenix, AZ. At 19, he was deployed to Vietnam, where he proudly served his Country as a member of the Army. After his honorable discharge, and spending years working in construction, he opened his own welding company. He was extremely proud of his work and shared his skills with his son and grandsons who are now following in his footsteps with their own businesses. He cherished spending time with his family, especially taking his beloved wife, “Nana”, to Las Vegas for New Years. Another special outing was going to the State Fair for his birthday.
Manuel is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachael, sons Robert (Kathy), Manny Jr, and daughter Milinda (Steven) as well as his grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Chantel, Celeste, Manny III, Vincenté, Cerena, Stephen, and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 5 PM – 8 PM, including the Rosary from 6 PM – 7 PM at Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home 4800 E Indian School Rd Phoenix, AZ 85018.
Mass will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church 3220 W Greenway Rd Phoenix, AZ 85053, followed by burial services at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 1:30 PM, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
