Olga S. Berumen, 90, passed away on Sunday, August 4, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Born on June 24, 1934, in Solomon, Arizona, Olga will be deeply missed by her husband of 59 years, Gilbert Berumen, as well as by her family and friends. Olga was a beacon of happiness and warmth, a devoted homemaker, loving mother, beloved nana, and champion of green chili pork. She had a passion for her grandchildren, mariachi music, golfing, and dancing. For over 40 years, she was a dedicated and vocal fan of ASU football and St. Mary’s High School sports.
Olga was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Belia Sainz, and her siblings Nachi, Pauline, Blanche, Baby, Modesto, Danny, and Bobby.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Berumen; her sons, Paul (Monica) and Mark (Lee-Anne); her grandchildren, Brittany (Thomas) and Cody (Janice); her great-grandchildren, Phoenix and Seren; and her brothers, Freddie, Oscar, and Harold.
Her vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Visitation will be held from 10a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Gordon Hall on St. Gregory Catholic Church Campus, with Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N 18th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85015.
