Olga Marina Brent

January 18, 1933 — June 21, 2024

Yuscaran, El Paraiso, Honduras

Olga was born in Honduras and the youngest of three. She had 1 sister, Haydee Corea, and 1 brother, Raul Cerritos. She grew up in Honduras and lived in Yuscarán and El Paraíso. Olga then moved to the United States in her 30’s and brought her family here.

Moving to the United States sparked a love of traveling. Olga loved seeing new places, meeting new people, and learning new things. She spent a great deal of her life traveling all around the world. Visiting places like South America, Central America, Mexico, Egypt, Italy, Spain, Jerusalem, France, Bahamas, Caribbean, Jamaica, Canada, and States ranging from the West coast to the East coast and everything in between. Olga spent most of her life in the United States in Washington D.C. and moved to Arizona at the end of 2019.

Olga embodied the best of qualities; unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her friends, family, and even people she just met.

Olga wasn’t just an excellent mother but also an excellent human being. She tried to help not only with the best advice but in any way she could. She was always willing to help family and friends and gave them solidarity, friendship, and love. She epitomized the phrase “mi casa, es su casa.”

Olga was preceded in death by her son, Angelo Brent, her husband, Andrew Brent, her great-granddaughter, Joscelyn Duron, her parents and her siblings, Haydee Corea and Raul Cerritos.

She is survived by her children, Vilma Moncada, Henry (Dania) Cerritos, Mario (Zulma) Cerritos, and Maritza Austin.
