Kevin Michael Ore, 35, was tragically taken from us Tuesday, May 7th, 2014 by a senseless act of violence just months after bravely battling and beating stage four Melanoma.
Our Kevin was the “bees knees”! He would never waste time simply with nice words when a kind action was the appropriate option. He was handier than most and was happy to assist friends, family, and neighbors without hesitation. He was a wizard in the kitchen; he shared his love when he shared a meal. Kevin was devoted to his dogs, was a supplier of sound advice, always keen for a laugh, and a lover of bad movies. You can consider yourself lucky if you knew him during his time here!
More importantly, Kevin was a caring partner to his dearest fiance, Gail Dusselier, and a guardian brother to his siblings Emily McKenna, Sarah Cylkowski, Christopher Ledin, and Brendan Ore. He was a loving uncle to Amelia, Benjamin, and Jack Cylkowski, and the treasured son of Michael Ore, Judy (Boom) Houser, Patricia (Baumann) Ore, Kimila Malone, and Jerry Eckerman.
We are thankful, humbled, and blessed to have shared the time we had with such a wonderful man! A Mass in celebration of his life will be offered tomorrow morning, May 15, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Parish of St. Benedict, 16223 South 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85048. A casual and fun celebration in honor (and in his own style!) of Kevin will also be held beginning that same day beginning at 5 PM at Mountain Preserve Reception Center at 1431 East Dunlap, Phoenix, AZ 85020. We invite all of Kevin’s family and friends to join us!
In lieu of flowers, Kevin would have preferred donations be made to The University of Arizona Cancer Center via their website at http:// azcc.arizona.edu/giving/how. !
