Patricia A. Demski

April 27, 1925 — March 12, 2024

Phoenix

Heaven's gain is our loss as we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Patricia A Demski (nee Andrzejewski) on March 12th, 2024. Born to Polish immigrants in Chicago on April 27th, 1925, Patricia reunites with her husband of 60 years Edward and their daughter Christine and now rests in God's arms.

The last of the Andrews (Andrzejewski) clan, she was predeceased by her brother Norbert Andrews and sisters Lorraine (Doskey) Andrews, Grace (Zuba) Andrews, Virginia (Pflum) Andrews and Phyllis (Kelleher) Andrews.

Patricia spent her life in service to others. She volunteered extensively throughout the years for her church, lending her beautiful voice to the choir, Sunday Mass, even weddings and funerals. She volunteerly operated Treasure House in Glen Ellyn for decades and manned the Koffee Korner at Central Dupage Hospital. When she and Edward moved to Arizona permanently she became involved with Banner Del Webb Hospital and their thrift store as well.

Never one to sit still, we referred to our mother fondly as the "Energizer Bunny", she could run circles around anyone! During our teen years she took on a new nickname "Flo" after Florence Nightingale because of her volunteering to roll bandages with local women for the Vietnam War effort.

Later in life she enjoyed spending time reading, doing puzzles and word searches and said daily prayers with a handwritten list a mile long for everyone she knew.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia Demski, Catherine (Morris) Stein, and Claudia Canterbury all of Arizona. As well as four grandchildren, Melissa (Bruce Beadle) Bernacky, Erin (Andrew) Ransavage, Allen Canterbury and Alexandra Stein and two great- grandchildren, Madeline Bernacky and Jack Ransavage. As well as dozens of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life is scheduled to be on July 14th, 2024 in Illinois, details to follow.

We ask you to honor our mother with a donation to your favorite charity in her name.

Till we meet again.....
