Patricia Ruth Wolf

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Patricia Ruth McCarthy Wolf passed away on March 13, 2025. We are rejoicing her transition to be with our Lord at the age of 96 years, and still young at heart. Pat is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Wolf, her sister Eileen McCarthy and her parents Clara Feil and Walter McCarthy. She attended Balsz and St. Mary’s elementary schools, graduated from Phoenix Union HS, and married in 1946. She worked as a cafeteria aide at East HS and later in her career worked on the assembly line at Motorola in Phx.

Pat lost her mother at a young age and was raised by extended family members and the sisters of the St. Mary’s convent. Even though she did not have the benefit of growing up in an immediate family environment, she had a loving mother’s instinct to raise a large and very closely bonded family of 6 children: Cathy(Robert), Steve(Margie), Greg(Pam), Gary(Kim), David(Cissy), and Theresa(Dennis), 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Being around family was Mom’s greatest pride. There were many family celebrations, camping trips, travels and holiday gatherings often held at her home where she prepared delicious traditional dishes. Love, laughter and many stories were shared over the table and around the fire pit in her backyard. She was a devoted member St. Theresa’s Catholic Church and volunteered hours of services with the Kitchen Angels. She enjoyed gardening where flowers and plants were a staple in her home and yard. All who know Pat would say that she served the Lord with a big heart, a loving spirit mixed with a bit of the good old Irish sarcasm. Her memory lives on in our hearts and her example will continue to influence our lives.

Mass Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11 AM at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Rd, Phoenix 85018 with reception following in the church hall. Burial Service is on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, 10 AM at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Whitney & Murphy, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Donations in Patricia R Wolf’s name may be made to St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.
