Graciela Q. Peña

Graciela Q. Peña, 99 years of age, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Ryan House hospice center in Phoenix, AZ. The beloved matriarch was born October 17, 1923, in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico to Clementina Guerrero and Carlos Quiroz and has lived in Arizona since 1946.

Graciela married Thomas Milazzo and had two children before Thomas passed. Four years later, she married Miguel Peña. They were married 52 years and had five children.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, daughter Martha, and son David. Graciela is survived by her sons Michael Milazzo (Patty Milazzo), Raymond Peña (Alice Peña); daughters Nellie Hermes (John Hermes), Tina Peña, Ylda Benavides (Raul Benavides); 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren who were the light of her life.

A Visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 6 PM to 7 PM followed by the Rosary at 7 PM.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N Central Ave, on Friday, December 2

at 10 AM followed by burial at

Resthaven Park Cemetery

,  4310 E Southern Ave, Phoenix.  A reception will follow the burial at First Christian Church (Venue Bldg.), 6750 N. 7

Avenue, Phoenix.
