Walter H. Peters

Walter H. Peters, 78 years old, went to his eternal home on June 18, 2018. Pete, as his friends called him, was a loyal son, caring husband, loving father and grandfather, and generous friend. He enlisted and served faithfully as a United States Marine directly out of high school. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Beth), daughter Cherone, son Matthew, and four grandchildren-Janessa, Isaac, Helena and Philip. He leaves a legacy of a love for learning, history and reading. He was a great story teller, and his stories will be greatly missed. He wanted others to know of his love for his Lord and Savior and His amazing grace that was shown to him. An Honors Military Service and Interment will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018, at 9:30 A.M. at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Church of the Valley, 4101 E. Shea Blvd., Phoenix.
