Richard Edward Piccoli

Piccoli, Richard E., 81, of Scottsdale AZ, passed away with his family by his side on September 11, 2014.  Richard was born in Chicago, IL to William and Melanie Piccoli on November 24, 1932.

In 1949, Richard’s family relocated to Arizona. This is where he met his wife and together they raised their sons. Richard retired from Basha’s after 18 years of service followed by a number of years at Walgreens.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents William and Melanie Piccoli and brother Father Gino Piccoli O.F.M. He is survived by his sister Irene Piccoli, his loving wife of 57 years, Agnes Piccoli, his four sons Michael (Amanda), Mark (Darlene), Chris (Melissa), and Rick (Cherie), grandchildren Andrew, Amanda (Kevin) Butt, Karli, Ricky, Cherish, Dylan, and Anthony, three great-grandchildren and many wonderful friends.

Richard was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 1030 N. Hayden Rd., in Scottsdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made in Richard’s name to St. Mary’s Food Bank, 2831 N. 31st Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009.  Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
