It is with heavy hearts and much sadness, we choose to share with you, the loss of our son, Kevin Michael Pihl. Kevin was born September 28th, 1983, and we lost him July 25th, 2023.
Kevin was a wonderful son who brought us great joy in his younger years. He was an avid sports enthusiast. As a child he was an exceptional left-handed pitcher and baseball player, shot put thrower, and basketball player. We recall watching him and his cousin Ryan play at the Boys and Girls Club, as they were truly in sync with one another reading each play, while feeding off one another, to insure they made “the shot”, of course always playing to win. He was also very skilled at the game of chess, a wonderful artist, and a proficient writer.
We enjoyed annual summers on the beach in San Diego, visiting all the typical tourist sights, with one of our family favorites, being Sea World. There were water games you could rent for a quarter and spray people as they came down the river on one of the rides. We did this as a family, and we all laughed out loud until our tummies hurt. We also enjoyed all the beach activities, abundance of great food, and quality time with family and friends. These memories will be held close to our hearts.
In his adult years Kevin loved his football. One of his simplest life’s joys was hanging out and watching games with family and his beloved dog Bella.
Kevin is survived by his parents Steve and Debbie Pihl, sister Brittany McKitrick, brother-in-law Kevin McKitrick, niece Stevie Grace McKitrick and nephew Mack McKitrick. He is also survived by his Aunt Sandie Hamilton, his cousins Ryan Hamilton, Tiffany Hamilton, and Logan Hamilton, his Uncle Max Martin and Aunt Lynn Martin and family, his Uncle Craig Pihl and Aunt Karen Pihl and family, his Uncle
Mark Pihl and Aunt Tedley Pihl and family, and his Aunt Sharon Pihl and family.
There will be a private family celebration of life.
