Rachel "Kela" Hernandez

Rachel “Kela” Hiralez Hernandez born May 16, 1930 passed away surrounded by her loved ones on June 23, 2024 in her home. She is survived by two sons; Philip and his wife Annalisa and Charles and his wife Pamela; grandchildren Anthony, Alicia, Ernesto, Charley, Erika, Christina, Georgina, Adam, and Liza; 24 great grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren. Married for 54 years to Carlos F. Hernandez. She loved her family and spending time with them. Kela was a very strong and amazing women. She loved to cook for her family, tend to her garden, and sewing. She touched many people throughout her lifetime. 

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix AZ 85018. Viewing will be from 9:30 am - 11:00 am, followed by prayer. Graveside service to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St. Phoenix AZ 85008. 

 As per Mom’s wishes there will be no celebration of life. Services will end at the gravesite.
