Ralph L. Holzhaus, II, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away April 16th, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ at the age of 81. His life journey began on July 10, 1942, in San Antonio.
Ralph was a man of many accomplishments and roles throughout his lifetime. He was married to Joan Holzhaus for 52 beautiful years and their love was an inspiration to all who knew them. Ralph's dedication to his family was immeasurable.
An alumnus of Arizona State University for his undergraduate degree and LaSalle University for his JD, Ralph pursued his education diligently. His thirst for knowledge and growth was evident in every aspect of his life.
In service to his country, Ralph served in the Army and Arizona National Guard with honor and distinction. His bravery and commitment were unwavering as he fulfilled his duties to protect and defend.
Professionally, Ralph was the esteemed owner of Wilderness Tactical Products, LLC. His entrepreneurial spirit guided him through challenges and successes in the business world.
Among his many accomplishments, Ralph served as the former commander of the MCSO’s Mountain Rescue Team. His leadership skills shone brightly as he led by example with courage and integrity.
Ralph will be deeply missed by his surviving loved ones: his devoted wife Joan; daughter Samantha DeZonia; Son-in-Law Don; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. Their memories with Ralph will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
A service to honor and celebrate Ralph's life will be held at 11:00 am on May 11th at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. The interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery where he will rest in eternal peace.
Ralph L. Holzhaus, II leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, strength, and kindness that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace knowing he made an indelible mark on the lives of many.
