Dora Ramirez, a mother and homemaker who labored her whole life to nurture her family in faith and unconditional love. Her traits of nurturing began with her siblings on a ranch miles away in central Mexico. As the oldest of her siblings waking with the rooster’s crow, to start the day helping her parents with daily ranch duties, which included taking her father lunch daily on a donkey by the age of 5.
She and her husband, Geronimo were married in 1941, and soon after, migrated north to Texas. Together, our parents, migrated through much of the United States as they followed crops to harvest. Starting a family of their own and settling in Arizona.
Dora is survived by her brother Asencion, sister Marcelina, Brother-in-Law Emiterio (Carmen), her children Antonio, Geronimo (Lucy), Juanita (Ramiro-deceased), Rosalinda, and Eliseo. Her 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 9AM with Mass celebration to begin at 10AM on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1421 S. 12th Street, Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
