Gary A Rathgeber

Gary Allen Rathgeber, 66, passed into eternal life on October 6, 2013. Gary was born and raised in Chicago, and traded the cold winters for the warm Arizona sun in the late 70’s.  Gary was a school teacher and superintendent at Black Canyon City School District until his retirement in 2002.  He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (nee Anderson); his mother, Eunice C. Rathgeber; four brothers, Glenn J. Rathgeber, Gregory A. Rathgeber (Jeanne), George R. Rathgeber (Cindy), and David K. Rathgeber (Dorothy); and two sisters, Gail M. Feltault and Diane C. Rathgeber.  He is also survived by Karen’s brother, Keith Anderson (Barbara); nieces Jaimie L. Ensign (Drew), Kate A. Rathgeber, and Kathie-Lee Jessica Petsch, and nephews Brian K. Rathgeber (Loan), Todd Anderson  (Jen) and Ryan Anderson  (Cari ); as well as five great nephews and one great niece.  He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth J. Rathgeber and nephew, Peter R. Rathgeber.  Visitation will be on Friday, October 11, 2013, from 5 to 8 PM, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.  Funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 10AM at All Saints Lutheran Church, 15649 N. 7
